The History of Operation Trackshoes
| 1971 | Operation Trackshoes hosted its first event. It was a one afternoon regional meet opened by Lieutenant Governor George Pearkes, with 98 competitors. |
| 1972 | Expansion to an overnight provincial event with approximately 300 competitors in attendance. |
| 1973 | Further expansion to a two night provincial event with 500 participants. |
| 1974 | For two years, Operation Trackshoes took on an international flavour as it welcomed groups from Washington State. |
| 1980 | 10th Event. |
| 1985 | 15th Event. Operation Trackshoes was opened by George Pearkes' widow, |
| 1986 | Events for competitors with multiple disabilities were designed and introduced. |
| 1988 | Competitor registration reached an all time high of 900. |
| 1990 | 20th Event. |
| 1992 | The beginning of a pilot project to offer an integrated children’s program. |
| 1995 | 25th Event. |
| 2000 | 30th Event. |
| 2007 | The 37th Operation Trackshoes was opened by the Honourable Iona Campagnolo, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. |
| 2010 | 40th Event |
| 2020 | OT sadly cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic |
